DS1307 Real Time Clock RTC Module
Keep calendar time in microcontroller projects with a DS1307-based RTC breakout over I²C. This listing is for the RTC module only; a host board and backup cell are not included unless explicitly packed with your unit.
What it does
- Provides year/month/day/hour/minute/second timekeeping for embedded firmware.
- Communicates over I²C with common microcontroller libraries.
- Backup-battery holder helps retain time when main power is removed.

Compatibility and setup
- Wire VCC, GND, SDA, and SCL to a 5 V-tolerant I²C bus as required by your board revision.
- Install a compatible coin cell in the holder when battery backup is needed.
- Pull-ups may already be present on the module; avoid duplicate strong pull-ups on short buses.
- Confirm crystal and chip markings if you require a different RTC family (for example DS3231).
