The Official Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ 26 TOPS is a neural-network accelerator add-on for Raspberry Pi 5. It uses the Hailo-8 processor to run INT8 inference workloads on the Pi 5 PCIe Gen 3 link. This listing is for the AI HAT+ kit only; it does not include a Raspberry Pi 5 board or the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler.

What it does

• Provides up to 26 TOPS of INT8 AI inference via the onboard Hailo-8 accelerator.
• Accelerates camera and vision workloads such as object detection, image segmentation and pose estimation when used with supported software.
• Integrates with the Raspberry Pi camera software stack for supported AI applications.
• Supports TensorFlow and PyTorch workflows for edge AI development.
• Can run larger networks at higher throughput and support multiple AI networks simultaneously on compatible setups.

Compatibility and setup

The HAT+ is designed for Raspberry Pi 5 and connects through the board's PCIe Gen 3 interface using the included 16 mm stacking header. It is compatible with the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler when mounted with the supplied spacers and screws. Operate within the rated 0–50°C ambient range. Raspberry Pi indicates production support for this product through at least January 2030.

Use current Raspberry Pi OS and the official AI HAT+ software guidance for installation. The HAT+ is not a USB or M.2 accelerator for unrelated hosts.
