The Raspberry Pi 5 Model B (8GB) is the current-generation Raspberry Pi single-board computer with an 8GB LPDDR4X memory configuration. It combines a Broadcom BCM2712 application processor, VideoCore VII graphics and the RP1 I/O controller for desktop, maker and embedded projects. This listing is for the board only; a power supply, microSD card, case and cooler are sold separately.

What it does

• Runs a 2.4 GHz quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 CPU (BCM2712) for general-purpose compute.
• Provides 8GB of LPDDR4X-4267 SDRAM for multitasking, containers and memory-heavy applications.
• Drives dual micro-HDMI outputs at up to 4Kp60 with HDR via VideoCore VII.
• Exposes high-speed peripherals through the RP1 I/O controller, including 2× USB 3.0, 2× USB 2.0 and a PCIe 2.0 x1 link.
• Includes onboard dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 40-pin GPIO header, power button, fan connector and RTC connector.

Compatibility and setup

Power the board from a 5 V / 5 A USB-C PD supply for full peripheral performance. Boot from a compatible microSD card with a current Raspberry Pi OS image, or from supported storage attached through an appropriate PCIe adapter. The PCIe 2.0 x1 interface requires a compatible HAT or adapter for NVMe or other PCIe devices. Board dimensions are 85 × 56 mm.

Case, Active Cooler or other cooling, display cables and HATs are optional accessories and are not included with this listing.
