YF-S201 Water Flow Sensor / Flowmeter (1/2" Hall Effect)
The YF-S201 Water Flow Sensor is a cost-effective and reliable solution for measuring the flow rate and total volume of liquids passing through a pipeline. This in-line sensor is comprised of a durable plastic valve body, a magnetic rotor assembly, and an integrated Hall Effect sensor that is sealed away from the fluid path.
When water flows through the sensor, the magnetic rotor spins, and the Hall sensor detects each revolution, generating a corresponding electrical pulse signal. By counting these pulses with a microcontroller, such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi (connected to a digital interrupt pin), the flow rate (in L/min) and the total volume (in Liters) can be precisely calculated using the sensor's linear K-factor formula.
